bARTr is a solo project, from conceptualization to design and development this work is my own
A responsive public art mapping and browsing website developed to accompany the artARK mobile application. artARK allows users to browse pieces of public art by location, popularity or date. Dynamically populated content ensures seamless functionality as the artARK collection grows.

An example of my freelance work. Pittsburgh artist Fritz Keck was in need of an e-commerce website where he could sell limited edition prints and original paintings. I worked closely with the client to design a beautiful, efficient, flexible and secure online store.
artARK mobile represents a solo project. From conceptualization through design and development, the work is my own. This prototype has been developed for and installed on Andriod devices.
A mobile application prototype I developed using Adobe Flash. artARK is a public art viewing mobile application where users can browse and log locations of public art displays in their or any other city. I built the application in Adobe Flash using ActionScript and XML to dynamically populate content and images.
Earth Journal represents a solo project. From conceptualization through design and development, the work is my own. This application has been developed for and installed on Andriod devices.
A fully functional mobile journaling application. Earth Journal users can create custom journal pages and share them with the world. Users select an image and a paper style from the Earth Journal collection an add their message. Click the share button and the journal page is saved to their camera roll making it free to share with others.
PGHMAN is a group project where I worked as a member of a small team of web designers and electronic publication designers.
In this group project my team built a fully interactive digital publication from a published print magazine. Using Adobe InDesign, we were able to maintain all of the original content while optimizing the format for iPad delivery. I was also a part of the two person team who built a fully respoinsive Wordpress website to accompany the print publication.
The sandbox is a place where I like to keep my fringe projects. Here you will find digital video, playful CSS3 animations, illustrations, photography and vector art. It may seem like a mixed bag but that is why it is the sandbox. Dig around a bit and who knows what you will find.
An example of kinetic typography that I used as a self-promotional video. I used Adobe AfterEffects and Adobe Illustrator to make the shapes and to set them in motion. I wanted to convey the notion that I bring a solutions oriented approach to my work. Just as red, green and blue light combine into white, so my talents and skills combine to produce digital solutions.
If you are in the mood for a story then this video might appeal to you. It is a heart-warming tale about a rubber duck who dreams of freedom outside the confines of the bathtub. Follow him on his journey but be warned, this is an emotional tour de force and quite possibly the finest example of modern cinematography ever produced. Filmed with a Nikon D3200 DSLR and edited with Adobe Premier Pro.
I enjoy creating expressive imagery through any medium. Here is a sampling of illustration, painting, and digital photography that I have created recently.
So, what about me? I like to think of myself as a bit of a renaissance man, marrying technical acumen and artistic flare. My office at home is more of a creative laboratory where you will likely find microcontrollers and servos next to brushes and paint. My interests are varied and so are my skills. Having visited 37 states and 5 countries (airports do not count!) and living in Sicily for 3 years, I might be called a traveler. Above all else, I am an inquisitive creative who values function and form.
